3K Cyclone finally has some POWER!
Guess what wire harness I'll be working on tomorrow?
Well, first thing I have to build another bike to sell this weekend, a Sixthreezero In The Barrel 7 speed (my favorite donor bike to use for a 3 speed IGH conversion for Ebikes). Then I have to finish the custom wire harness on the 750W BBSO2 bike for the company, and build a few bikes for the bike store for this weekends sales. After all that, I may get a chance to work on the 3000W Cyclone In The Barrel ebike!
My family is in the process of moving, so it's been tough to find the time to work on the 3K Cyclone. I moved the project to the warehouse bike shop to complete it. I figure this way I can work on it a little every day to get her done.
Believe it or not, when a bike mechanic gets home from a long day of working on bikes, the last thing on his mind is to work on more bikes!
Until my family's relocation is complete, I think I'll just build all my bikes at the shop. Home shop is closed until further notice. 100% of my spare new parts are going into storage until we find a place. 100% of my bike tools are going to the shop.
So back on battery topic! I want to see how it works on my BBSHD 3 speed In The Barrel bike for a couple weeks before switching it to the Cyclone version anyway, so no rush to get her done other than my desire to go faster, and make my daily commute to the bike shop safer by being able to keep up with traffic.
Eventually I'll change the controller and build my own 72V pack for the Cyclone. I have my battery welder but not the time at the moment. Then the 52V will go back to the BBSHD until I change it's controller and bump it up to 72V as well!
So to end this long and boring post, wish us luck in finding a new place with a decent garage to build bikes and ebikes so I can open up the Home Shop again. I'll get some photo's of the progress tomorrow.
